How it Works

Watch the Videos

Watch this video to learn how the Porch Potty can automatically rinse itself. Or see how you can use a watering can to manually rinse the Porch Potty. No hose connection is needed for the Porch Potty Standard if you choose to go this route.
This short video shows how easy it is to change the grass or switch from Training Sod to Synthetic Grass. Most customers like to start out with Training Sod to give them that edge when training their dog to use the Porch Potty. Once your dog is trained, toss the Training Sod out, and use the Synthetic Grass for years to come.

Porch Potty Premium - Use a hose connection.

Porch Potty Premium has both a sprinkler system and a drain in the center of the Porch Potty. Simply connect a standard hose and turn on the water. Over 3 gallons of water is sprayed on the grass for one full minute, rinsing away any urine and odors. The water floods the grass area under an inch of water before draining completely through the drain hose.

Water Floods and Drains Drain Hose empties to nearby drain Sod Grass Has no soil
Fresh water floods the drain pan before draining. Every square inch is soaked with water for one full minute. The water runs out the drain hose to a nearby floor drain or rain gutter. Anything can work, even a flower bed or a grass area below your deck. Our unique soil-less sod is shown here. Notice how clean and mess free it is. Water and urine drain right through.

Porch Potty Standard - No hose connection required.

Porch Potty Standard has a drain in the center of the drain pan. The 14 foot drain hose allows you to pour water over the grass to rinse it clean. The water runs down the drain hose to the nearest floor drain, gutter, planter, or even over the edge of your balcony (provided your neighbors approve). Use a watering can to sprinkle water over the grass periodically. Use the included Catch Basin for indoors or for patios without a drain. Just empty the container when it gets full. Its easy to handle to prevent spills or awkward balancing acts.
